The Follett Panthers won the last time they faced the Lefors Pirates, and things went their way on Friday too. Follett came out on top against Lefors by a score of 46-35. The team accrued 35 points in the first half and coasted on those for the win.
It was another big night for Reyna Rosales, who scored 15 points along with eight rebounds and three steals. She has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last eight times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Kimber Wheatley, who scored eight points along with five rebounds.
Follett now has a winning record of 8-7. As for Lefors, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-9 record this season.
Follett will head out on the road to face off against Miami at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Miami and Follett are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads. Lefors will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on McLean at 6:00 p.m. on January 5, 2024.
