Granite City can bid farewell to their five-game losing streak thanks to their game on Tuesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Metro-East Lutheran Knights, sneaking past 2-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Warriors have posted since April 14th.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Granite City got the one that really mattered. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 15-25, 25-21.

Granite City's win bumped their record up to 7-9. As for Metro-East Lutheran, they dropped their record down to 2-17 with the loss, which was their eighth straight on the road.

Coming up, Granite City will venture away from home to challenge Belleville West at 5:45 p.m. on Monday. As for Metro-East Lutheran, they will challenge Althoff Catholic at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
