Palmer has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will take on the St. Edward Beavers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Palmer's game on Tuesday was all tied up 21-21 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They fell to Harvard 44-39. Palmer has not had much luck with Harvard recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Meanwhile, St. Edward's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They were beaten by Nebraska Lutheran 60-32.
Despite the defeat, St. Edward got a solid performance out of Anthony Reader, who scored 16 points along with 5 assists and 4 steals. The matchup was Reader's third in a row with at least ten points. Marcos Paez was another key contributor, scoring 8 points along with 3 steals.
The losses dropped Palmer to 0-3 and Harvard to 1-1.
Palmer took a serious blow against St. Edward in their previous meeting back in December of 2022, falling 51-24. Can Palmer avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
