The Northeastern Knights posted their biggest victory yet this season on Saturday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Knightstown 71-40 on the road. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 40-14.
Landon Scarrette was his usual excellent self, going 7 for 12 from beyond the arc en route to 27 points and 1 assist. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Dae Lundy, who scored 11 points along with three steals.
The victory makes it two in a row for Northeastern and bumps their season record up to 9-5. As for Knightstown, their loss dropped their record down to 7-5.
Northeastern will be playing at home against Lapel at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Lapel is looking to tack on another W to their four-game streak on the road. As for Knightstown, they will square off against Winchester Community on Saturday.
