Basketball Recap: Crown Point Piles Up the Points Against South Bend Adams

There's no place like home for Crown Point, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They took their game on Thursday with ease, bagging a 69-38 victory over the South Bend Adams Eagles. The Bulldogs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven contests by 31 points or more this season.

Crown Point's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Ava Richie led the charge by dropping a double-double on 15 points and 11 rebounds. That's the most boards Richie has posted since back in November of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Ivy Henderson, who went 9 for 17 on her way to 18 points in addition to five rebounds and five blocks.

Crown Point smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive boards. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their offensive board total in three consecutive matchups.

Crown Point's win bumped their record up to 11-9. As for South Bend Adams, they have also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-9 record this season.

Crown Point has already played their next contest (against Merrillville), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. South Bend Adams won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against South Bend Riley at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
