Baseball Recap: Donna Gets the Win

Donna was handed a 17-run defeat in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Friday. They had just enough and edged out the Economedes Jaguars 12-11. For the Redskins, this counts as revenge for the 10-5 victory the Jaguars walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February of 2019.

Ethan Sanchez was a standout: he went a perfect 3-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and one double. That's the most runs he has posted since back in March of 2025. Herberto Bocanegra also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Donna always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .710. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Donna picked up their first road win, bumping their record up to 2-3. As for Economedes, their loss dropped their record down to 2-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Donna will welcome Palmview at 1:20 p.m. on Saturday. The Redskins' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Lobos have averaged an impressive 9.8 runs per game this season. As for Economedes, they will take on Valley View at 11:10 a.m. on Saturday.
