On Tuesday, the JAG Jaguars faced the Enterprise Wildcats in a battle between two of the state's top teams. JAG fell just short of Enterprise by a score of 48-45. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat JAG has suffered yet this season.
Several Jaguars players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was JaMicah Adair, who scored 16 points along with five rebounds and three steals. Ladarius Givan was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 14 points and 13 rebounds.
JAG are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 19-4. As for Enterprise, they pushed their record up to 19-5 with that win, which was their 13th straight at home.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. JAG on the road again on Thursday and play against Pike Road at 7:00 p.m. on January 25th. Pike Road will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Alabama Rankings (they are ranked 229th, while JAG is ranked 17th). As for Enterprise, they will head out on the road to face off against Prattville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Prattville has now lost 11 straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 7.
