It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Center Grove Trojans had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Panthers 47-20 on the road. Center Grove has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine matchups by 25 points or more this season.
Center Grove's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Audrey Annee, who scored 19 points along with four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Rachel Wirts, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 13 rebounds.
The win was the 16th in a row for Center Grove, bringing their record for this year to 23-1. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.3 points per game. As for Bloomington South, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-11.
Center Grove will face off against the Woodmen at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Greenwood will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Indiana Rankings (they are ranked 217th, while the Trojans are ranked second). Bloomington South does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
