Madison-Grant is 8-1 against Elwood since December of 2014, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Madison-Grant Argylls will head out on the road to face off against the Elwood Panthers at 7:30 p.m. Hopefully Madison-Grant focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up nine on Saturday.
Even though Clinton Central scored an imposing 63 points, Madison-Grant still came out on top. Madison-Grant strolled past Clinton Central with points to spare, taking the game 78-63. With that victory, Madison-Grant brought their scoring average up to 58.3 points per game.
Madison-Grant's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Gavin Kelich, who scored 22 points along with 8 rebounds and 4 steals. Another player making a difference was Clayton Hull, who scored 21 points along with 8 rebounds.
Meanwhile, it was a hard-fought matchup, but Elwood had to settle for a 46-44 defeat against Daleville on Saturday. Elwood has not had much luck with Daleville recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
The losses dropped Madison-Grant to 1-2 and Clinton Central to 0-3.
Madison-Grant strolled past Elwood when the teams last played back in December of 2022 by a score of 61-45. The rematch might be a little tougher for Madison-Grant since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
