Beaver is 9-1 against Enterprise since January of 2020, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Thursday. The Beaver Beavers will head out on the road to challenge the Enterprise Wolves at 7:00 p.m. Hopefully Beaver is not getting complacent, as they presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Enterprise in Utah (Beaver is ranked 17th, while Enterprise is ranked 72nd).
After soaring to a 44-point victory in their last game, Beaver came back down to earth on Tuesday. They fell just short of South Sevier by a score of 59-57. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Thursday (56), Beaver still had to take the loss.
Meanwhile, Enterprise beat Millard 54-41 on Tuesday. The win was just what Enterprise needed coming off of a 68-45 loss in their prior match.
Enterprise's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jaycee Barlow led the charge by dropping a double-double on 13 points and 17 rebounds. Eliza Balajadia was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with seven rebounds and six assists.
Beaver's loss ended a 16-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 18-4. As for Enterprise, their win bumped their record up to 10-12.
Everything went Beaver's way against Enterprise when the teams last played back in January as Beaver made off with a 65-42 victory. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was Barlow, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 11 rebounds. Now that she's got a second chance to win this matchup, will Beaver still be able to contain Barlow? There's only one way to find out.
