The Dobbs Ferry Eagles waltzed into their matchup Wednesday with two straight wins but they left with three. They came out on top against Barack Obama School for Social Justice by a score of 60-47. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Dobbs Ferry also won the last time the pair played back in January.
Several Lightning players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Miguel Gonzalez, who scored 17 points along with three steals. The matchup was Gonzalez's third in a row with at least ten points. Seediya Jabbi was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with eight rebounds and four blocks.
Dobbs Ferry pushed their record up to 4-1 with that win, which was their third straight at home dating back to last season. As for Barack Obama School for Social Justice, their loss dropped their record down to 3-1.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Dobbs Ferry will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Putnam Valley at 12:00 p.m. on December 28th. Barack Obama School for Social Justice will be home for the holidays to greet Woodlands at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
