Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Appalachian walked away with it. They blew past the Addison Bulldogs 19-7 on Wednesday. Considering the Eagles have won 20 matchups by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Appalachian's victory was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 24-10-4. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.5 runs over those games. As for Addison, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost eight of their last nine contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-22-1 record this season.

Appalachian wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 9-2 defeat against Skyline on the 7th. As for Addison, they have also already played their next match, a 9-2 loss against Spring Garden on the 7th.
