Buffalo and Elkhart are an even 5-5 against one another since March of 2019, but likely not for long. The Bison will head out to challenge the Elks at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Elkhart fell victim to Fairfield and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They came up short against the Eagles, falling 9-0. Having soared to a lofty 16 runs in the game before, the Elks' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.
Elkhart saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ella Lively, who went 1-for-3 with one double.
This is the second loss in a row for Buffalo and nudges their season record down to 6-14. As for Elkhart, their defeat dropped their record down to 15-4.
Friday's game might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Buffalo has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .524. However, it's not like Elkhart struggles in that department as they've averaged .481. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Buffalo suffered a grim 9-1 defeat to Elkhart in their previous meeting back in April of 2025. Can the Bison avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
