Trinity Christian has been on the road for two straight, but on Friday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Frontier Cougars at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Even though Trinity Christian has not done well against Frankfort recently (they were 0-6 in their previous six matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. Trinity Christian came out on top in a nail-biter against Frankfort and snuck past 43-40. Given Trinity Christian's advantage in MaxPreps' West Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 48th, while Frankfort is ranked 202nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, Frontier was able to grind out a solid victory over Valley on Monday, taking the game 55-43. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Frontier.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Frontier to victory, but perhaps none more so than Grace Knowlton, who scored 25 points along with four steals. Kelsey Dye was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with eight rebounds and six steals.
Trinity Christian has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 13 games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-4 record this season. As for Frontier, they pushed their record up to 15-6 with that win, which was their fifth straight at home.
Trinity Christian suffered a grim 59-33 defeat to Frontier in their previous matchup back in January of 2023. Will Trinity Christian have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check back here after the action for a full breakdown and analysis of the contest.
