Hatch is 2-8 against Keith since November of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The Hatch Bobcats will head out on the road to challenge the Keith Bears at 7:00 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.
With a playoff game on the line, Hatch rose to the challenge on Monday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Trail Blazers 63-36 at home.
Meanwhile, Keith took their matchup at home on Monday with ease, bagging a 90-40 victory over Linden. Given Keith's advantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 177th, while Linden is ranked 445th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Keith relied on the efforts of Miles Hannah, who scored 23 points, and Tommy Tisdale III, who scored 29 points. Tisdale III is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 24 or more in the last six games he's played.
Hatch's victory bumped their record up to 13-11. As for Keith, their win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 18-9.
Hatch ended up a good deal behind Keith in their previous meeting two weeks ago, losing 68-54. Can Hatch avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
