The Union County Yellowjackets posted their biggest win since December 4, 2023 on Friday. Everything went their way against Chester as Union County made off with a 62-41 victory. That's another feather in the cap for Union County, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Union County got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Keishawn Gibson out in front who scored 14 points along with four steals. Another player making a difference was Ej Jeter, who dropped a double-double on ten points and ten rebounds.
Union County's victory bumped their record up to 8-14. As for Chester, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-9.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Union County will take on Chapman at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in South Carolina (Chapman is ranked 199th, while Union County is ranked 180th). As for Chester, they will head out on the road to face off against Emerald at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Emerald is coming into the contest on a five-game losing streak.
