Make it six blowout wins for the Windsor Wizards this season. They took their contest on the road on Saturday with ease, bagging a 79-41 win over Greeley Central. Given Windsor's advantage in MaxPreps' Colorado basketball rankings (they are ranked 45th, while Greeley Central is ranked 165th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Windsor's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Johnnie Reed led the charge by dropping a double-double on ten points and 11 rebounds. Reed hasn't dropped below two steals for five straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Tadese Keyworth, who scored 18 points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Windsor is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season. As for Greeley Central, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-7.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Windsor will take on Silver Creek at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Silver Creek comes in on five and Windsor on three. As for Greeley Central, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Greeley West at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Hopefully Greeley West focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 32 on Friday.
