The Forest Park Foresters won against the Lake Clifton Lakers on Saturday with 44 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Saturday. Forest Park blew past Lake Clifton 44-0 on the road. The result was nothing new for Forest Park, who have now won six matches by 22 points or more so far this season.
TiJuan Reed had an outrageously good game as he rushed for 166 yards and two touchdowns on only ten carries. Jayon Knox and his 104 yards on the ground were also a key factor in Forest Park's victory.
Forest Park's win was their fifth straight on the road, which bumped their overall record up to 8-1. It's not like the team was facing easy opposition over that stretch either, as it included 3-1 Lake Clifton/Reach and 6-2 Carver Vo-Tech (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 62.3% over those games). As for Lake Clifton, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-5 record this season.
Forest Park will be playing in front of their home fans against Douglass at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. Douglass will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Maryland Rankings (they are ranked 216th, while Forest Park is ranked 105th). As for Lake Clifton, they will head out on the road to face off against Lewis at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. Lewis will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
