Hemingford extended the longest winning streak in D1 District 10 (8 Man) this week by beating Morrill, 67-22. The win marks seventh in a row for the the Bobcats.
Hemingford was able to crack the Top 25 in the state rankings this week after besting the Lions. Jordan Haas' team came in at 11 in the state poll after placing at number 27 last week.
The Bobcats' Matthew Wood and Colt Foster have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Wood has thrown for 756 yards this season, while Foster has 14 catches for 328 yards. Brandon Fletcher from Maxwell leads the league in rushing with 561 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when the Wildcats take on Hemingford. Maxwell is currently in fourth, while the Bobcats are in first.
There should be lots of points scored when Ryan Jones' team and Hemingford face off this week. The top two offenses in the league, the Wildcats comes in having scored 207 this season, while the Bobcats have scored 444. Maxwell scored 12 points last week as it fell to Stapleton/McPherson County.
