The Bowie Jackrabbits were the 49-47 winner over the Vernon Lions when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. The match between Bowie and Vernon wasn't particularly close, with Bowie falling 59-44. Bowie has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
When it comes to explaining why Bowie lost on Tuesday, one person who can't be blamed is Tucker Jones. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 14 points and 11 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Andrew Sandhoff, who scored eight points along with seven rebounds and three steals.
Bowie has been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 15-17 record this season. As for Vernon, they pushed their record up to 19-8 with that win, which was their fourth straight at home.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing Holliday the next time they take the court. Vernon will host Holliday at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, while Bowie will head out to face them at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
