The Lincoln Lions will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against the Coventry Oakers at 7:00 p.m. Lincoln knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past 18 matches -- so hopefully the Oakers like a good challenge.
On Monday, Lincoln faced the Rebels in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Lincoln secured a 71-67 W over the Rebels. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Camden Dichiara continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 28 points. Another player making a difference was Joshua Bergeron, who scored nine points.
Meanwhile, even though Toll Gate scored an imposing 58 points on Monday, Coventry still came out on top. In a tight contest that could have gone either way, Coventry made off with a 59-58 win over the Titans. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Coventry.
Lincoln pushed their record up to 18-0 with that victory, which was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Coventry, they have been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 11-7 record this season.
Lincoln couldn't quite finish off the Oakers in their previous meeting back in January of 2022 and fell 41-39. Can Lincoln avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
