Compass Academy will square off against the Lamesa Tornadoes at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Compass Academy's favor is that they have posted at least ten runs in their last three matches.
Compass Academy had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the ten-run drubbing they dealt Coahoma on Saturday. Compass Academy blew past Coahoma 12-2. Compass Academy might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four contests by six runs or more this season.

JACKSON CLARK made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he pitched five innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits. What's more, he gave up only one walk, the fewest he's had since back in February. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-5 with four RBI, one run, and one double. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high.
In other pitching news, CANYON BOWNDS looked comfortable as he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.
Back at the plate, Compass Academy got a big performance out of KAISON BIVINS, who scored two runs while going 2-for-4. Another player making a difference was KASON TRAVIS, who scored three runs while going 1-for-3.
Compass Academy kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in six consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Lamesa fell victim to Denver City and their airtight pitching crew on Saturday. They lost 10-0 to the Mustangs. Having soared to a lofty ten runs in the game before, the Tornadoes' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.
Compass Academy is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-2 record this season. Lamesa dropped their record down to 6-7 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season.
Tuesday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Compass Academy hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .331. However, it's not like Lamesa struggles in that department as they've averaged .312. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
