The Cedar Ridge Fighting Red Wolves will take on the Chatham Central Bears in a holiday battle at at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Chatham Central took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Cedar Ridge, who comes in off a win.
Last Wednesday, Cedar Ridge strolled past Eno River Academy with points to spare, taking the game 41-25. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Fighting Red Wolves.

Cedar Ridge relied on the efforts of Kassidy Tolliver, who went 7 for 11 on her way to 15 points in addition to eight steals and seven boards, and Kennedi Fearrington, who posted ten points and five steals. With that strong performance, Tolliver is now averaging an impressive 2.7 steals per game.
Cedar Ridge was working as a unit and finished the game with 13 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in January.
Meanwhile, Chatham Central had to suffer through a 63-23 loss at the hands of Seaforth. The Bears have struggled against the Hawks recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive lost matchup.
Cedar Ridge will have to contain Karaleigh Dodson as she made an impact in Chatham Central's last game. She put up ten points and eight rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Landry Allen, who posted three points.
Chatham Central's defeat dropped their record down to 5-2. As for Cedar Ridge, the victory got them back to even at 3-3.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Cedar Ridge has been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 24.5 rebounds per game. However, it's not like Chatham Central struggles in that department as they've been averaging 31.8 boards. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
Cedar Ridge was able to grind out a solid win over Chatham Central when the teams last played back in January, winning 46-35. The rematch might be a little tougher for Cedar Ridge since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
