After flying high against the KIPP Navigate College Prep Tigers on Friday, the Summit Tahoma Tigers came back down to earth. Summit Tahoma fell just short of Cristo Rey San Jose Jesuit by a score of 58-55. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Summit Tahoma in their matchups with Cristo Rey San Jose Jesuit: they've now lost six in a row.
Despite the loss, Summit Tahoma still got an impressive performance from J Jay, who scored 39 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Jay has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jessie Tagnangas JR, who scored eight points along with two steals.
Summit Tahoma's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 5-3. As for Cristo Rey San Jose Jesuit, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-10.
Summit Tahoma will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Cindy Avitia at 6:00 p.m. As for Cristo Rey San Jose Jesuit, they will head out on the road to square off against KIPP Navigate College Prep at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. KIPP Navigate College Prep comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
