Garrard County hasn't had much luck against Boyle County recently, but that could start to change  on Wednesday. The Golden Lions are taking a road trip to  face off against the Rebels  at 6:00  p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Having struggled with five  losses in a row, Garrard County  turned things around against McCreary Central  on Thursday. They never let the Raiders get on the board and left with  a   10-0  win. The result was nothing new for the Golden Lions, who have now won nine games by seven  runs or more  so far this season.

 Emily Hounshell was a  major factor while hitting and pitching. She  didn't allow a single  earned run and  allowed only two  hits while striking out 11 over five innings pitched. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't  tossed less than six  strikeouts in four consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate,  going a perfect 3-for-3 with one  home run, three  runs,  and three  RBI. Those  three  runs gave  her a new career-high.
 In other batting news, Garrard County let  Destiny Logan and  Braylei Wade run wild. Logan  went 2-for-3 with one  stolen base, one  run,  and one  RBI, while  Wade  got on base  in two of her three plate appearances with two  stolen bases and two  runs. Those  two  stolen bases gave  Wade a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of  Jazlynn Shelton, who  went 1-for-2 with one  run and one  RBI.
 Garrard County was getting hits left and right  and  finished the game having  posted a batting average of .417. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as McCreary Central only posted a  batting average of  .118.
 Meanwhile, Boyle County was not the first on the board  on Monday, but they got there more often. They were the clear victors by  a  12-2 margin over Danville Christian Academy. The Rebels haven't had any issues with the Warriors recently, as the game was their third consecutive  victory against them.
 Garrard County's record now sits at 13-15. As for Boyle County, their record is now 10-17.
 Garrard County came up short against Boyle County when the teams last played  back in April, falling  5-2. Can the Golden Lions avenge their  defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
