Susquehannock has enjoyed a three-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will take on The Kennard-Dale Rams at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Kennard-Dale took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Susquehannock, who comes in off a win.
Last Friday, everything went Susquehannock's way against West York Area as Susquehannock made off with a 42-20 victory.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Susquehannock to victory, but perhaps none more so than Josh Pecunes, who rushed for 120 yards on only nine carries, and also threw for 157 yards and two touchdowns on only 14 passes. Pecunes was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 55 yards. Dan Kaliszak also helped out with an impressive 128 receiving yards.
Meanwhile, Kennard-Dale's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss. They were dealt a 54-21 defeat at the hands of Dover. While losing is never fun, Kennard-Dale can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania football rankings (they are ranked 392nd, while Dover is ranked 194th).
Susquehannock's win bumped their record up to 4-5. As for Kennard-Dale, their loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their overall record down to 2-7.
Things could have been worse for Susquehannock, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 43-28 loss to Kennard-Dale in their previous meeting back in October of 2022. Can Susquehannock avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
