The Wichita Christian Stars's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their fifth straight loss. They fell 51-43 to Accelerate Christian. Wichita Christian has not had much luck with Accelerate Christian recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Accelerate Christian got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Audrey Jaramillo out in front who scored 31 points along with seven rebounds and four steals. Jaramillo hasn't dropped below two steals for five straight games. Danity Diaz was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with eight rebounds and five steals.
Wichita Christian's loss dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Accelerate Christian, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 11-8.
Wichita Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Accelerate Christian on the road again on Friday and play against Holy Cross Academy at 6:00 p.m. on February 2nd. Holy Cross Academy is coming into the match on a four-game losing streak.
