A Season-Best Performance from Miles Omalley Leads Maranatha over Linfield Christian
On Friday, Maranatha had to settle for second even though Miles Omalley put up the best numbers he has all season. Omalley rushed for 251 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 13.9 yards per carry, and also picked up 44 receiving yards, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. His longest rush was for an incredible 71 yards.
If history really does repeat itself, Omalley might just drop another big game when he faces off against Western Christian on Friday. Isaiah Ramirez posted a new career-high in rushing yards on Friday. His rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 105 rushing yards dating back to last season. He didn't just play on offense: he also forced a fumble, made seven total tackles (0.5 for loss), and defended a pass.
