Basketball Recap: Make It Two in a Row for Gospel Light Christian

Gospel Light Christian won the last time they faced Triad Baptist Christian Academy, and Maggie Jo Church did her part to make sure it happened again. Gospel Light Christian were the clear victor by a 53-30 margin over the Triad Baptist Christian Academy Titans on Friday thanks in part to Church, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 24 boards. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in assists (five).

Another player making a difference was Brooklyn Miller, who posted seven points and six steals. She has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last four times she's played.

The win made it two in a row for Gospel Light Christian and bumps their season record up to 10-2. As for Triad Baptist Christian Academy, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 12-5 record this season.

Gospel Light Christian will face off against Alamance Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Triad Baptist Christian Academy, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against University Christian at 5:30 p.m. University Christian will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Triad Baptist Christian Academy surely won't give up without a fight.
