Community is 1-9 against Van-Far since January of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Community Trojans will head out on the road to face off against the Van-Far Indians at 7:30 p.m. Van-Far took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Community, who comes in off a win.
Last Saturday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Community beat Calvary Lutheran 57-52.
Meanwhile, Van-Far unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Saturday. They fell to Harrisburg 55-51. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Van-Far has scored all season.
Van-Far's defeat came about despite a quality game from Nikos Connaway, who scored 14 points along with seven rebounds and six assists. The match was Connaway's third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Carson Huff, who scored eight points.
Community's victory bumped their record up to 3-5. As for Van-Far, their loss dropped their record down to 6-2.
Community came up short against Van-Far when the teams last played back in December of 2022, falling 41-37. Can Community avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
