A well-balanced attack led Rector over Marked Tree every single quarter on their way to victory. Rector put the hurt on Marked Tree with a sharp 39-14 victory. The win was familiar territory for the Cougars, who now have four in a row.
Rector started the matchup off right with 25 first-half points. Marked Tree countered with 8 points, leaving the score at 25-8 going into the half. The Rector defense was impenetrable in the third quarter, shutting them out and essentially clinching the game.
Rector is hunkering down at home again for their contest against McCrory on Thursday. After these teams both made easy work of their previous opponents, one of them is set up to suffer a discouraging change of fortune. The Indians will take on Midland at 7 p.m. ET at home. Neither of these teams wants a repeat from their last game since each was dealt a considerable defeat.
