Basketball Recap: Mountain Ridge Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from Kris Washington and Cameron Breighner

Mountain Ridge was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss dating back to last season. They fell 67-58 to the Frankfort Falcons. One positive for the Miners, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

Despite the defeat, Mountain Ridge had strong showings from Cameron Breighner, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and ten rebounds, and Kris Washington, who went 6 of 11 on his way to 17 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Brady Moran, who posted six points.

Mountain Ridge's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Frankfort, with the win, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 1-1.

Mountain Ridge and Washington will round out the year against one another at at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Frankfort, they will head out to square off against Lincoln at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
