The Greenwood Rangers suffered their closest loss yet this season on Tuesday. They fell just short of Seminole by a score of 58-56. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Ty Presley and Tatum Pierce certainly did their best on Tuesday to try and avoid the loss. Presley scored 21 points, while Pierce scored 14 points.
Greenwood's defeat dropped their record down to 14-11. As for Seminole, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 18-9 record this season.
Greenwood will look to defend their home court on Friday against Pecos at 7:30 p.m. Pecos will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 1535th, while Greenwood is ranked 492nd). As for Seminole, they will head out on the road to take on Monahans at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Both teams are coming into the matchup red-hot, with Monahans sitting on six straight wins and Seminole on four.
