Bishop Gorman (Las Vegas, Nev.) snatched the lead for good when it threw a touchdown in the second quarter, paving the way for victory over
Reed (Sparks, Nev.) 49-24.
The Gaels were up 21-14 at the half after taking the lead on a passing touchdown in the second quarter.
Bishop Gorman expanded its lead to 11 points entering the fourth quarter. BG scored once in the quarter on a rushing touchdown.
The Las Vegas school secured its victory by scoring 21 points in the fourth quarter to push the final margin to 25.
Kline Fielden was the top performer for the Gaels. The senior kicked three extra points.
The Raiders'
Brett Chaney played well. The senior wide receiver ran for one touchdown and caught one touchdown. He has now scored 13 touchdowns on the season.
A 72-28 Bishop Gorman victory was the result when the squads faced off last season.
The loss comes after Reed defeated Damonte Ranch 50-9 last week.
