West Side proved they can win big  last Friday (they won by 32) and  on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They won a  contest that couldn't have been any closer, slipping by the Snake River Panthers 21-20. The Pirates have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Panthers, too.
 Jaden Fuller threw for 93 yards  on six of 11 attempts.   Bryson McDaniel was his top target, picking up 36 receiving yards.  On the ground,  Drake Sage rushed for 147 yards and a pair of  touchdowns.
 Despite the loss, Snake River still got an impressive performance from   Preston Wheatley, who picked up 104 receiving yards and two  TDs, and also rushed for 55 yards and one  score. Those  receiving touchdowns marked the first that  Wheatley has  hauled in this season.
The  victory (which was West Side's fourth in a row) raised their record to 5-1. The  wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 11.5 points on average over those games. As for Snake River, they now  have a losing record of 3-4.
 Coming up, West Side will head out to  take on Aberdeen  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. The two teams have allowed few  points on average (the Pirates 13.3, the Tigers 13.7) so any  points scored will be well earned. As for Snake River, they will welcome American Falls  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. The Beavers' defense has only allowed ten  points per game  this season, so the Panthers' offense will have their work cut out for them.
