The Scottsbluff Bearcats put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They strolled past Cody with points to spare, taking the game 66-52. That's another feather in the cap for Scottsbluff, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Scottsbluff was led to victory by Rylee Meininger and Nate Kelley. Meininger scored 20 points, while Kelley scored 24 points along with 5 rebounds. The match was Kelley's third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Keon Delgado, who scored 5 points along with 8 rebounds.
Scottsbluff's win bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Cody, they now have a losing record at 1-2.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Scottsbluff will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Douglas. As for Cody, they will take on Powell at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Powell knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past three games -- so hopefully Cody likes a good challenge.
