The biggest upset of the week belonged to Vintage, who took down 454th ranked Rodriguez, 21-0. Dylan Duprez threw for 126 yards and one touchdown and ran for two yards in the win.
Vacaville's Daniel Mewborn recorded the longest rushing play in Monticello Empire this season in his game against Armijo last week. Mewborn ran for 81 yards on the play and finished with 84 on the day as his team defeated the Indians.
Nic Ardave and Jacob Te'o gave Vacaville a balanced attack through the air and ground last week. Ardave threw for 184 yards and three touchdowns, while Te'o ran for 124 yards.
Brandon Beck was the best wideout in the league this week as the Crushers bested the Mustangs. Beck tallied two receptions for 87 yards. Nick Locicero helped Vintage's passing attack out by catching two balls for 29 yards.
On the ground, Wood's Jonathan Camacho has rushed for 603 yards which leads the league. The leading receiver in the league this season is Beck. The Vintage star has 13 catches for 330 yards.
The top two teams in Monticello Empire will face off this week when first place Napa takes on second place Vacaville. Last week, Napa beat the Wildcats, while Mike Papadopoulos' team topped Armijo.
Two of the top units in the league will face off this week when the Bulldogs take on the Indians. Vacaville's offense has recorded 245 points this season, making them No. 1 in the league, while Napa has permitted only 142 on the year.
The Bulldogs were the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from fourth to second in the league. Earlier in the week, Vacaville triumphed over Karl Finley's team 56-8.
