It was a good run, but St. Charles unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Wednesday. They fell just short of Leonardtown by a score of 44-41. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat St. Charles has suffered against the Raiders since January 6, 2017.
St. Charles lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Jadyn Forbes, who scored 14 points along with four steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Forbes has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaela Spears, who scored five points along with four steals.
Gretchen Fleck went supernova for Leonardtown, scoring 14 points along with six rebounds and four steals. Fleck is trending in the right direction, as she's improved her point production for three games straight. Eva Weller was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with eight rebounds and three blocks.

St. Charles will head out on the road to square off against the Rams at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. McDonough is on a three-game streak of home wins, the a nine-game streak of away wins (dating back to last season)-- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court. Leonardtown will take on the Eagles at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Maryland (North Point is ranked 64th, while the Raiders are ranked 78th).
