Mattanawcook won the last time they faced Mount View, and things went their way on Friday, too. Mattanawcook made easy work of Mount View and carried off a 43-13 win. Mattanawcook were expected to win, but the margin was definitely larger than the state rankings had forecast. The matchup pushed Mount View down to 0-2 and pulled Mattanawcook up to the reverse at 2-0.
Both teams are staying within the conference for their upcoming matches. Mattanawcook are packing up and heading on the road for the first time this season. They face off against Foxcroft next week at 7:00 PM. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, Mattanawcook and Foxcroft will really light up the scoreboard. Mount View looks to establish their home field advantage as they take on Houlton/Hodgdon/Greater Houlton Christian Academy at 1:00 PM.
