The TMI-Episcopal Panthers can finally bid farewell to their seven-game losing streak thanks to their game on Tuesday. They walked away with a 43-32 victory over Providence Catholic. The win was just what TMI-Episcopal needed coming off of a 54-13 defeat in their prior matchup.
Providence Catholic lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Kaylee Camacho, who scored nine points along with eight rebounds and six steals. Isabella Otero was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with two steals.
TMI-Episcopal's win ended a 13-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-10. As for Providence Catholic, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost 13 of their last 16 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-19 record this season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. TMI-Episcopal will challenge Saint Mary's Hall at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Saint Mary's Hall will be looking to keep their seven-game home win streak alive. As for Providence Catholic, they will head out on the road to face off against St. Joseph Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. St. Joseph Academy presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Providence Catholic in Texas (St. Joseph Academy is ranked 416th, while Providence Catholic is ranked 1131st).
