Tinora has gone a perfect 3-0 against Paulding recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Rams will be playing at home against the Panthers at 5:00 p.m.
Last Saturday, Tinora came up short against Wauseon and fell 11-6. The Rams have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Madison Spangler was cooking despite her team's loss, firing off two home runs and three RBI while going 2-for-4. Another player making a difference was Karly Carpenter, who scored a run while going 3-for-4.
Meanwhile, Paulding entered their tilt with Holgate on Monday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Tigers a 12-0 shutout. That 12 run margin sets a new team best for the Panthers this season.
Paulding let Cadence Schwab and Brooklynn Bakle run wild. Schwab scored four runs and stole two bases while going 3-for-3, while Bakle fired off two home runs and four RBI while going 2-for-5. That's the most runs Schwab has posted since back in April of 2024. Marley Parrett was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one home run and three RBI.
Paulding always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .514. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Holgate only posted an OBP of .053.
Paulding's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 4-2. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.3 runs over those games. As for Tinora, their loss dropped their record down to 4-4.
Tuesday's match will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Tinora hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .326. However, it's not like Paulding struggles in that department as they've averaged .356. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Everything went Tinora's way against Paulding in their previous meeting back in May of 2024, as Tinora made off with an 8-2 win. Will the Rams repeat their success, or do the Panthers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
