The Shoemaker Wolves will challenge the Copperas Cove Bulldawgs at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty run totals in their previous games.
Shoemaker will bounce into Tuesday's matchup after beating Bryan, who they had gone 0-4 against in their four prior meetings. Shoemaker came out on top against Bryan by a score of 11-8 on Thursday. Considering the Wolves' hitters had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

Shoemaker let Taylor McClinton and Nichole Clemente run wild. McClinton got on base in four of her five plate appearances with one home run, four RBI, and one stolen base, while Clemente went 2-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and two RBI. Those four RBI gave McClinton a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Yanimarie Nieves, who scored two runs while going 1-for-3.
Meanwhile, Copperas Cove waltzed into their contest on Friday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They put the hurt on the Knights with a sharp 11-1 victory. The Bulldawgs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five games by ten runs or more this season.
Janell Gray made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run while striking out eight over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in six consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with one home run and three RBI. That home run was her first of the season.
In other batting news, Isabella Hunt and Laila LaCapra did most of the damage at the plate: Hunt scored two runs while going 3-for-4, while LaCapra scored two runs while going 3-for-4. Taylor Trimm was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.
Copperas Cove was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .481. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .310 or higher in seven consecutive matches.
Shoemaker is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 13 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-6 record this season. Copperas Cove's win bumped their record up to 8-5.
Shoemaker's speedy runners might be the difference in Tuesday's game. Shoemaker has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.6 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for Copperas Cove, though, as they've been averaging only 1 stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will Shoemaker continue to outrun the ball?
Shoemaker might still be hurting after the 9-3 defeat they got from Copperas Cove in their previous matchup back in February of 2023. Will Shoemaker have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check back here after the action for a full breakdown and analysis of the contest.
