On Thursday, everything came up roses for the Discovery Charter School Trailblazers against the Emerson Waldorf Gnomes as the squad secured a 49-20 win. The Trailblazers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six contests by 29 points or more this season.

Discovery Charter School got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Addison Woods out in front who posted six points along with 11 steals and six assists. Woods is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed three or more in the last seven games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Aleeya Harris, who put up 18 points and four steals.

Discovery Charter School smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 11 offensive boards in four consecutive games.

Discovery Charter School is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten matches, which provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 29.0 points over those games. As for Emerson Waldorf, they are on a nine-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Looking ahead, Discovery Charter School will host Durham Flight HomeSchool at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Emerson Waldorf does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
