There's no place like home for the Regis Raiders, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Thursday. They walked away with a 65-54 victory over Fordham Prep on Friday. This was payback for Regis, who suffered a 69-66 loss the last time these two teams met.
Several Rams players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Ryan Jackson, who scored 16 points along with five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Matthew Kapfer, who scored 12 points along with seven rebounds and two steals.
Regis pushed their record up to 15-3 with that victory, which was their eighth straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.6 points per game. As for Fordham Prep, their loss ended a six-game streak of away wins and brought them to 16-4.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Regis will take on the at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Fordham Prep, they will head out on the road to face off against the Cardinals at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday. LaSalle Academy comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
