Tri-Valley recap September 17, 2013
The biggest upset of the week belonged to Pine Grove, who took down 465th ranked East Juniata, 33-14. Ryan Heim ran for 164 yards in the win.
Fans got a thrill when Tyler Clark and Dakota McNemar connected against Line Mountain. The longest such play in Tri-Valley this season, the connection resulted in 82 yards.
Hunter Harner was the best running back in the league this week. In 37 carries, he ran for 211 yards as Tri-Valley topped the Eagles. Chase Schaffer also contributed to the rushing game with 44 yards on the ground.
Stephen Sedesse threw for 237 yards and 4 touchdowns. He was 10-20 with 2 interceptions.
Harner was a beast in the backfield as the Bulldogs beat Newport.
McNemar was the best wideout in the league this week as the Indians defeated Line Mountain. McNemar tallied 3 receptions for 145 yards.
Sedesse put up the best numbers through the air as Williams Valley beat Millersburg. Sedesse's favorite target this week was Cody Miller, who caught 4 passes for 138 yards.
Leading Tri-Valley in both passing and receiving yards, the Vikings' Sedesse and Miller have proven to be a lethal combination. 6-2 quarterback Sedesse has thrown for 582 yards this season, while Miller has 10 catches for 301 yards. Tri-Valley's Harner leads the league in rushing yards with 456.
An important game coming up in the league this week will be when Mike Ulicny's team takes on the Tigers. At the moment, the Bulldogs are in second, while East Juniata is in fifth.
The Cardinals scaled the state rankings by moving to 412 from 485 this week, the biggest jump in the league. Pine Grove climbed the ranks as a result of topping Simon Cameron's team 33-14.
