The Delta Academy Raiders's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fourth straight loss. They ended up on the wrong side of a rough 51-28 walloping at the hands of DeSoto. That's two games in a row now that Delta Academy has lost by exactly 23 points.
It was another big night for Anslee Barnes, who scored 22 points along with five rebounds for DeSoto. The team also got some help courtesy of Carsyn Gore, who scored ten points along with three steals.
Delta Academy's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for DeSoto, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 16-4 record this season.
Delta Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Walnut at 10:00 a.m. on January 20th. As for DeSoto, they will be playing at home against Calhoun Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Calhoun Academy is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
