After flying high against Glenn on Saturday, Pioneer came back down to earth. The Pioneers came up short against the Belleville Tigers on Wednesday, falling 13-1. The Pioneers' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Layah Thomas made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one triple and one RBI.

Pioneer now has a losing record of 10-11. As for Belleville, they pushed their record up to 5-16 with the win, which was their third straight at home.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Pioneer will venture away from home to face off against North Farmington at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Belleville, they will head out to square off against Glenn at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
