On Friday, Waco suffered a tough 57-35 defeat at the hands of Madison. Waco has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Madison's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kailen Cade, who scored 11 points. Another player making a difference was Davonta Morgan-Collins, who scored 7 points along with 7 rebounds and 6 blocks.
Waco's loss dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Madison, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 4-5.
Waco's road trip will continue as they head out to face Mexia at 9:00 a.m. on December 2nd. Mexia presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Waco in Texas (Mexia is ranked 446th, while Waco is ranked 1170th). As for Madison, they will face off against University at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. University is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
