Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Columbus East to victory, but perhaps none more so than Messiah Trapp, who scored 13 points along with 8 rebounds and 4 steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which Trapp has scored at least 25% of Columbus East's points. Madelyn Poe was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with 6 rebounds.
Columbus East's victory bumped their record up to 4-8. As for Floyd Central, their loss was their third straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 4-4.
Columbus East will look to defend their home court on Saturday against Jeffersonville at 1:30 p.m. As for Floyd Central, they will head out on the road to face off against Silver Creek at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Silver Creek will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
