Orange is 2-8 against Chagrin Falls since December of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Orange Lions will head out on the road to face off against the Chagrin Falls Tigers at 6:45 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Last Friday, Orange came up short against West Geauga and fell 62-53. Orange has struggled against West Geauga recently, as their matchup on Friday was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.
Meanwhile, Chagrin Falls' 16-7 record from last season is now well into the rear view mirror after another tough outing. They took a 43-33 hit to the loss column at the hands of St. Joseph Academy on Saturday.
Despite the defeat, Chagrin Falls had strong showings from Abby Kay, who scored 15 points along with 3 steals, and Avery Russell, who scored 10 points along with 7 rebounds. The contest was Russell's sixth in a row with at least ten points.
The losses dropped Orange to 2-2 and West Geauga to 2-3.
Orange was dealt a bruising 59-25 loss at the hands of Chagrin Falls in their previous matchup back in January. Can Orange avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
